8 Mistakes novice traders make when getting into penny stocks

Over the course of the last 12 months, I’ve been devoting a major part of my time to learning all the intricacies of penny stocks and working on penny stock related projects. I’ve made my journey to becoming a penny stocking millionaire a serious one.

Throughout this journey I’ve also had the opportunity to spend time around other novice traders as well as experienced ones in order to gather knowledge and develop my trading experience.

As a result of my … Continue Reading...

StocksToTrade 1.0 Gone in form but not in essence

As many already know, StocksToTrade v1.0 is no more; it has been discontinued to make space for StocksToTrade v2.0, that has yet to be released, following the announcement available here:

At this time, previous customers of STT have not yet been provided with a release date for STT 2.0 which has left many of us without our favorite real-time filtered scanner.

But STT 1 still lives and is still available to all users who had access to it. Watch … Continue Reading...

What I’ve been working on lately

Over the past couple of months or so I have been inactive at trading and spending a lot of time working on stock related projects, to deepen my understanding and to improve my trading efficiency.

As a computer engineer, I don’t like repeatable actions that are not automated: this often results in slow and wasteful manual actions that could otherwise be almost instantaneous. My only broker is currently Interactive Brokers and their platform is great, but leaves a lot of … Continue Reading...

Today’s Watchlist

Small watchlist for tomorrow. I couldn’t find too many good stocks at play that mach my preferred patterns. This is what I came up with. Not many long opportunities as this week has had few earnings winners and few contract winners following the Easter holiday. A few potential short positions that I will be considering tomorrow if the price action/volume is there.

Recap for the last couple of weeks

Over the last couple of weeks I’ve been working … Continue Reading...

Google Sheets Strategy Performance Tracking Template

As I’ve been working very hard to maximize my trading productivity and based on the behavior of successful traders, I took it upon myself to make a strategy performance tracking spreadsheet on Google Sheets.

The basic analytic data is based upon what shows; the difference being that each trade can be associated to one or more strategies which are tracked separately and for which the specifics statistics are calculated as opposed to having simply an overall view of all … Continue Reading...

Recap for Tuesday March 3th 2015

Yesterday was an eventful day; lots of action for me: my overnight position on $RESN didn’t go as planned as it dropped in price, contrary to the expectation that it would spike in the morning. Additionally, I took 2 positions in $OREX, which initially resulted in a loss and then managed to recover my losses and some. Lots of stocks at play.

For my short list, $GENE and $EYES didn’t get the drop everyone … Continue Reading...

Recap for Monday March 2nd 2015

Monday morning was an eventful day in the stock market, a couple of good missed opportunities such as $EYES, $BIOC (both took a big dip), $ZAGG and $ABTL both has a bit of run as earnings winners, $CYCC and CYTX displaying parabolic moves remaining on the green and $RESN starting to show signs of a bounce based on speculation.

I took a late day o/n position on $RESN based on a Tim alert and … Continue Reading...

Today’s Watchlist

First watchlist in a while after a couple of weeks of blog inactivity due to life events. Last week was an eventful one in the penny stocking world, both on the long and short sides. I took some small losses in shorting $GENE due to bad timing for the most part and covered rather quickly in order to limit them.

In any case, here is my watchlist for today.
